What Are the Merits and Demerits of an Air Conditioner?

The air conditioner has become a necessity in today’s world instead of a luxury like before. Yes, it has its uses and advantages especially during those hot summer days where the fan simply doesn’t work.

However, like all things, it has its merits and demerits.

With the air cooling unit, you are able to keep things cool and last longer. Mind you, they are not just used to keep humans fresh and cool. Factories and vegetable producers use it to maintain the freshness of their goods before arriving at the marketplace to sell.

Without it, these vegetables and farm produce will not be able to reach their destination in one piece. Instead, they will rot in no time.

air conditioner installation cost of course have a cheap payment and the ability to perk a person up. Imagine a 20-hour long haul flight without air conditioner. That is surely an impossible feat and would have the people on the plane suffocating before long.

Offices without air conditioning system would also surely cause its employees to lose focus because they are too hot and tired to concentrate on their work.

Unfortunately, the air conditioner is not without its demerits either. No matter how much cool air helps us humans, we have to remember that it adversely affects Mother Nature. Whenever we switch it on, poisonous gasses are being released into our atmosphere which will subsequently create a hole in our ozone layer.

This of course will come back to bite us humans because a thinner ozone layer means the higher the chances of cancer and other diseases.

Of course, we are not saying that the usage of air conditioners is evil and it should be thrown away immediately.

However, there are some ways in which we can stop the spread of pollution. Try to minimize the usage of air conditioners when it is not necessary. A good way would be to set the timer on your air cooling unit when you sleep, as such it would not be switched on for such a long time.
